Educated in De La Salle College, Waterford and the Waterford Regional College, I have over twenty years experience in the financial services business, predominately in the areas of wealth management and retirement planning. I started my career in financial services in the late 80’s where I worked both in Waterford and then in Dublin dealing primarily with corporate pensions.

In 1992 I moved back to the South East as Broker Consultant for Waterford and Kilkenny with one of Ireland’s leading insurance companies where I worked for a number of years before I became the Mortgage Manager for one of the South East’s largest insurance brokers. During this time I had the privilege of being the youngest ever Chairman of the Life Insurance Association for the South East Region when I took up that position in 1996.

I joined Financial Engineering as a Financial Planning Manager in 2002 to develop their business in the South East Region and was made a Director of the business in 2006 during which time we had seen significant development of the local business. During my 20 year career to date in financial services I have amassed a considerable amount of experience in all aspects of Wealth Management.

In 2010 Financial Engineering recognized the work done in the South East region by my team over the previous 9 years and as part of a group wide restructuring transferred all existing Financial Engineering clients developed by the South East operation to Moore Wealth Management who are now the designated strategic partner of the ITC group in the South East. The group which includes Independent Trustee company, who are Irelands leading administrators of Retirement Trusts and Astons, the tax and legal division, both will continue to work closely with Moore Wealth Management to insure the continued delivery of high quality financial advice to private clients.

I spent the previous 4 years with Financial Engineering the largest independent wealth management company in Ireland before joining Kieran in the restructuring that transferred all private clients in the south east to the newly formed Moore Wealth Management. I am QFA qualified and during my time with Financial Engineering was primarily responsible for developing comprehensive personalized financial reviews for new clients which involved offering advice on all aspects of personal finances. I was also responsible for the ongoing serving of the existing wealth management client base in Waterford, Kilkenny and Wexford.

Prior to this Colm spent the previous seven years with Sunlife Financial of Canada and the preceding year were spent working for the Australian Stock Exchange Registrars in Sydney where he headed up a team that was investigating the demutualization of a large insurance company and the subsequent issues around the share issue.
